Nioh 2 headed for PC, Nioh Collection unveiled for PS5

4K & 120fps on PS5!

Koei Tecmo revealed that both of its popular action-RPG under the Nioh banner will come to next-gen as part of PS5 definitive editions. Furthermore, PC users will finally get their hands on Nioh 2 as well. Check out the Steam announcement trailer below!

A little less after one year of PS4-exclusivity, Nioh 2 is at long last going to launch on PC. The Nioh 2 – Complete Edition becomes available on February 5th, 20221. Pre-orders on Steam are live now for $59.99.

But there’s also good news for console players. Namely, PS5 owners. Nioh 2 Remastered – Complete Edition will also launch on PC and PS4. As the name already gives away, this edition includes all DLC. Furthermore, owning the PS4 version of the game will give users access to the free upgrade of the PS5 version as well.

But wait, there’s even more. The Nioh Collection includes both the first and second game together with all its DLC. Likewise, it will launch on PS5 on February 5th.

“We are extremely thankful to all of our die-hard PC fans who have patiently waited to play Nioh 2,” says producer Fumihiko Yasuda. “We are working hard here at Team NINJA to add the finishing touches to Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition, and are excited for you to experience this gripping masocore game with a wealth of graphical customization.

There’s even more good news to play both Nioh games on Sony’s next-gen system. Nioh 1 & Nioh 2 offer a massive resolution boost to 4K. But the improvements don’t stop here. Both titles will play at a blistering 120fps. It goes without saying, you’ll have to own a modern TV that features 120Hz panel.

Koei Tecmo’s stab at the Soulslike genre is a huge success. Not only does it offer a high-quality entry in the genre, but developer Team Ninja offered plenty of great ideas. Many of which best even FromSoftware’s formula. A reliance on meaningful stances, deep skill & ninjutsu customizations, and of course the jaw-dropping setting of feudal Japan especially stand out.
