Nioh is not as far off as it feels. While it is missing out on the Holiday 2016 release window, the death-heavy Action-RPG will grace us with its presence early next year, and as such, you can now pre-order the game starting today. In a new post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe Content Producer, Corey Brotherson revealed not only the news of the live pre-orders but what you will get for doing so.
Here's a breakdown of the two versions of the game that are on offer:
- The full game
- The full game
- Weapon pack with five new weapons
- PS4 Avatar
- Season Pass
Anyone who pre-orders the game, regardless of the Edition, will receive the aptly-named Nioh Armor (pictured below), whose design is inspired by the many statues that stand guard at temples across Japan. You'll also get a Dynamic Theme thrown in as well.
Also, if you pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition or within the first two weeks of the game's launch (by February 21st), you will get another in-game armor set (seen below) who design is based on the legendary samurai, Yukimura Sanada.
So there you have it, and by now considering that we've gotten an extensive Alpha and Beta demo for the game, it's not hard to imagine that (assuming you tried the game) you should have a pretty good idea about whether to pre-order or hold off. By all accounts, Team Ninja has approached developmental feedback about as well as anyone ever has, so Nioh has a pretty good chance of impressing from Day 1.
