During E3 2016, a statement from Bethesda's Game Director Todd Howard was taken as an apparent "confirmation" of Elder Scrolls 6 being in development. Shortly after the 'confirmation' Bethesda's VP of marketing, Pete Hines, clarified that the developers were not working on Elder Scrolls 6 "at the moment."
It looks like no one believed Hines about it, seeing as they are still asking about it. Luckily, one back and forth between Hines and a non-believer lead to Hines detailing that Bethesda is working on two games before they even consider Elder Scrolls 6.
Check out the conversation below (Dr Agon Born = Pete Hines):
Here comes the big one:
Those 'two other games' from Bethesda could very well be a sequel to The Evil Within, Wolfenstein, or Rage or something else entirely. Only time will tell, but they probably aren't working on games that have been announced.
