Activision and Treyarch have revealed the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 without a campaign mode. The platforms will release featuring only multiplayer and zombies gameplay, including the new "Shadows of Evil" mode.
According to the developers, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 simply cannot handle the "ambitious scope" of the 1-4 player campaign and could not be recreated 'faithfully' to the campaign that was created on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Because of the lack of campaign, both Xbox 360 and PS3 version's of the game will be priced at $49.99 and will include a bonus download for the the original Call of Duty: Black Ops. So, while players on last-gen consoles missing out on a new campaign story, Activision and Treyarch are looking to keep the peace with a bonus. It's actually kind of nice of them to offer this deal.
