After No Man's Sky was delayed, fans have been looking for some good news for the game and it looks like we finally have some. Apparently, Hello Games has been in a legal dispute over the last three years over the word 'Sky' being used in their game's headline.
A company named 'Sky' sued Hello Games, because they company own the word 'Sky' and don't want anyone else using it – not even Microsoft.
"We finally settled with Sky (they own the word 'Sky')," said Hello Games boss Sean Murray on Twitter (via Eurogamer) over the weekend. "We can call our game No Man's Sky. Three years of secret stupid legal nonsense over."
"This is the same folks who made Microsoft change Skydrive to Onedrive…" he added. "So it was pretty serious."
The broadcasting company named Sky doesn't even make games, so a lawsuit over the word seems a bit… silly. Almost like the company knows they can make money by suing people over using the word.
Murray didn't detail how much money it took to end the dispute, but luckily the dispute was settled. No Man's Sky is a better game title than No Man's Atmosphere or something.
