No Man’s Sky Visions packs more Diversity, new Enemies, Locations

No Man’s Sky is receiving brand-new content today with Visions. The update version 1.75 introduces new biomes, archeological sites, alien life and generally makes the space simulator a lot more colorful. All these come as a free update for all owners of No Man’s Sky on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

It seems the days when everyone pointed at No Man’s Sky and ridiculed Hello Games’ ambitious open-worldspace exploration and survival game are long forgotten. After years of continued work and massive updates, No Man’s Sky has transformed into a venerable game of its genre.

Just a month ago, we were greeted by whole nother dimension of exploration with The Abyss update, introducing players to the mysterious darks of the oceans. Visions on the other hand focused – as the name implies – on enhancing the visual experience by making the countless worlds more colorful and varied.

Anomalous planet biomes add new flora. These beautiful additions are not all passive however, with some of them reacting to the player by exploding when getting too close or ensnaring astronauts as giant carnivore plants. Especially interesting are crystalline lifeforms, sentient minerals, which rapidly grow and decay in the ground while chasing the player.

It’s worth discovering these new and dangerous planets, as they also are home to new rare artifacts. Once found, these can be brought back to your base and displayed as proof of your otherworldly adventures. A great incentive to explore new planets and places.

The other great pillar of No Man’s Sky Visions, is the whole-new archeology system. Scattered on some planets are archeological research sites where player can find skeletons of ancient aliens. The more complete a skeleton set is, the more valuable it becomes.

The Visions Update is going live today across all platforms as a free update, but Hello Games is teasing more content updates for the future.
