No Mario’s Sky hit with take down notice from Nintendo; Loses Mario gets renamed DMCA’s Sky

Towards the end of August, ASMB Games revealed their No Man's Sky x Mario mash-up, No Mario's Sky. The game took all the procedural generation and world exploration themes from No Man's Sky and put them in Super Mario's iconic 2D style, including Goombas.

Unfortunately, No Mario's Sky was hit with a DMCA notice from Nintendo. Instead of shutting down their game for good, ASMB renamed their game DMCA's Sky.

DMCA's Sky does not feature Mario or any Goombas. Instead, Spaceman Finn is searching the universe for Princess Mango. The game features "crazy Moombas, An Infinite Universe, Muscle, Amazing Physics and a Radical Space Ship."

What's interesting is that Moombas are in Final Fantasy. Can we expect another DMCA notice?
