Earlier this week Bloodborne's long-awaited DLC finally got revealed, dated and priced during Tokyo Game Show 2015. While new content is great – especially because we have been waiting so long for it – there aren't any plans for DLC past The Old Hunters release.
Looking on the bright side, Sony Japan producer Masaaki Yamagiwa says that the developers can offer more with one DLC, rather than the initially planned two expansions.
"It was decided that with one set, we'd be able to do more with it, and have more volume for players to play with," Yamagiwa told Eurogamer. "As of right now, we have no plans for any more DLC." Essentially, the two pieces of DLC have been wrapped into one with The Old Hunters. The DLC will be bringing three new areas, some of which are folded into previously explored areas, there should be around eight hours of gameplay, but that depends on your playstyle.
The Old Hunters will also be bringing 10 new weapons: a whip that converts into a katana, a stun-bomb, a cleaver, a dagger that doubles as a bow and arrow, and more.
Bloodborne's DLC won't be impacting Chalice Dungeons, but there are changes headed their way. "We won't be touching them in the DLC, but we're thinking of making them easier for everyone to play," said Yamagiwa. "But that'd be as part of an update, not part of the DLC."
The Old Hunters DLC will be available for purchase on November 24th and it will cost you $19.99.
