No plans for Twisted Metal DLC, says Jaffe

If you were holding your breath for downloadable content for Twisted Metal, co-director David Jaffe doesn't think that's a wise health choice.

Talking to IGN, Jaffe revealed there are currently no plans, at least that he's aware of, to add any more content to PlayStation 3's Twisted Metal game.

"No one has asked me [about working on DLC]," he said. "I don't know what Eat Sleep Play is working on other than I'm pretty sure they're not working on DLC for Twisted Metal. My understanding is that there is no plan for DLC for Twisted Metal, and I don't see that changing in the foreseeable future."

According to Jaffe, the team is around the 75% "happy balance" rate on the game.  Once they hit 100%, Twisted Metal will be done, aside from the occasional double XP weekend.

I have to say I'm pretty shocked there is no DLC planned.  It's not often that you find a game these days that isn't trying to get more money out of its customers with some form of DLC.  Of course, Jaffe announced he was leaving Eat Sleep Play earlier this year to work on his own projects, and with his Twisted Metal commitment "officially" ending this month, Eat Sleep Play may not be comfortable continuing to work on the game.
