Last week, the company behind the Thief movie suggested that another Thief game was in production on their blog. Unfortunately, this rumor has been squashed by the studio head at Eidos Montreal himself.
Eidos Montreal studio head David Anfossi squashed the rumor in one tweet.
In 2014 we saw the fourth game in the Thief series release, only to be met with lukewarm reviews. While the stealth gameplay, level design, graphics, and replay value were worthy of praise, the game's map layout, story, and technical issues drew quite a bit of criticism.
With Thief 4's lackluster reviews and relatively low sales, it's no surprise that the game isn't getting a sequel.
