No Titanfall pre-order necessary for beta entry

Pre-ordering Titanfall won't be a requirement to get into the game's beta, which has yet to be officially announced.

Addressing the question on Twitter, Vince Zampella, co-founder of the game's developer Respawn Entertainment, answered: "[Titanfall] will not require a pre-order, but no more details than that yet."

Zampella also added that the studio is "waiting for things to be approved" before they can make any more announcements regarding the game's beta details; although, he did note that users should be able to upload their Titanfall beta gameplay footage on sites like YouTube.

Although Respawn has yet to officially announce dates, beta for Titanfall is believed to begin on February 14, or Valentine's Day. The date was leaked by a French retailer (via Xboxygen) and Zampella subtly hinted that it would be the correct date. But until we hear it officially from the studio, it only remains just a rumor.

The highly anticipated online shooter will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC platforms on March 11, 2014 in North America. It'll be available in Europe two days later on March 13, 2014. Despite multiple rumors, Titanfall is not a timed-exclusive and will be available only on the three aforementioned platforms for its lifetime.
