After announcing the cancelation of True Crime: Hong Kong and the official end of the Guitar Hero franchise yesterday, the company revealed plans for future Guitar Hero and DJ Hero DLC. On the official DJ Hero website, the company had the following to say regarding the matter: “We will release the previously announced DLC track and mix packs for February, but – unfortunately – we will not be able to release new DLC packs beyond what we already have.”
This spells the obivous end to both the Guitar Hero and DJ Hero music series as the company previously revealed, and the slow phasing out of all digital content for both games.According to Activision, existing titles from both franchises will be continue to appear at retailers, but it is unknown for how long.
