Norman Reedus and Hideo Kojima still hopeful for collaboration

Hideo Kojima, the father of Metal Gear Solid hasn’t missed a step since going independent. His studio, Kojima Productions went independent in December 2015 after a nasty breakup between him and Konami. With this departure came the unfortunate loss of a few IPs including the Metal Gear Solid series and the Silent Hill franchise.

Kojima had been working closely with Guillermo del Toro on the now-canceled Silent Hills, But the two men have expressed interest in still working with each other on a project. To add to this, Kojima has also stated his interest in also working with Walking Dead star Norman Reedus on future projects, saying, “I don’t know when, but it definitely would be great to work with him again.”

Holding meetings with Reedus after his planned role of the Silent Hills protagonist was canceled may prove Kojima’s words to be more than just talk, however no official statement has been made. Posts on Twitter showing Reedus and Kojima discussing his newly independent studio are promising to say the least.

"I have faith that we, the three of us, can do something else… There were so many ideas and cool future happenings that were thrown around. I just can't see us not picking this up somewhere." Said Reedus to IGN. Also in reference to working with Kojima, Del Toro has also said that he will do, “Whatever the f*ck he wants.”
