Since the release of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim we've seen a TON of a really cool, useful Skyrim mods. We've seen mods that increase performance, display loading time on screen, and even show you the "sweet spot" of the lock. But none of those mods are as highly coveted as the one mod that removes the undergarments of Skyrim's females.
Now before we all jump down the fans of Skyrim and blast them as immature, horny gamers, I should point out that this isn't the only game to feature a nudity mod. In fact, just about every big-named title on the PC has some form of nude mod. It adds to the realism of the game, right? At least that's what we tell ourselves when we download it.
Currently, the "Nude Females" mod is the most popular of all the current Skyrim mods on Curse.com. Created on November 12, the "Nude Females" mod is already up to 26,294 downloads and seeing about 4,000 average daily downloads. The total downloads to this date is more than five times higher than the runner-up.
And what is the runner-up? Surprise, surprise, another nude females mod, except it makes the women resemble barbie dolls (no nipples or other parts). A little classier for those who want their women nude, but still tasteful. It's like having your nude women wear pasties.
So what does the popular "Nude Females" mod do? According to the description, "Nude Females removes the underwear from female characters in the game, and updates the textures based on what one would expect to see underneath."
In case you're wondering, yes, every female of every race shed their undergarments. And yes, it is very graphic and all textures are in high-res (because I don't want my nude women pixilated).
The mod has proved popular amongst fans and has already received two updates, the most current being version 1.3 which corrected nipple and belly button placement. Thank goodness, those nipples were getting out of control.
Aside from graphics, mods are the one of the most cited reasons for getting a game on PC…I guess now we see why.
