NVIDIA bundles Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain with select GPUs

Last week Newegg slipped up and revealed that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain would be bundled up with select NVIDIA GPUs, effectively replacing Batman: Arkham Knight from the previous bundle. Newegg admitted to the bundle being announced ahead of schedule and promised that the new bundle would be available 'soon.'

Soon has become now, effective immediately NVIDIA is offering select GeForce GPUs bundled with The Phantom Pain, this means that if you graphics card needed an update you can get The Phantom Pain and a new graphics card at the price of on GPU.

What cards are available with the game? The GeForce GTX 980 Ti, 980, 970 and 960 graphics cards and systems, and select GeForce GTX 980M and 970M notebooks. Prices for the bundles depend entirely on the GPU and can range anywhere from around $250 to $700. This could very well be the upgrade your PC was looking for… and it comes with a game that should be pretty great!

According to reports from purchasers of the Arkham Knight bundle, some individuals have been able to switch their unredeemed Batman game to Metal Gear Solid. If you manage this, please let us know.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be available through a digital download with the GPU. The game releases on September 1, 2015.
