NYCC 2016: Mark Hamill to voice new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles character

I had the pleasure of attending the NIckelodeon TMNT panel at New York Comic Con today, where the voice cast and Executive Producer Ciro Nieli revealed some incredible information.

During the panel, the cast revealed that Mark Hamill himself will voice the new character Hot Head (above). A video of his arrival was shown to those in attendance, and it appears that Tiger Claw is in for a rough ending based on what we saw.

Speaking of Tiger Claw, voice actor Eric Bauza revealed that Alopex, the first new character designed by creator Kevin Eastman in 15 years, will be entering the show this season as well. No voice actor information was provided for Alopex, but we did get a bit of her backstory. Tiger Claw seems to have met her at a young age and was taken captive by the Krang where they were mutated into their current state. One day, Alopex attacked Tiger Claw and although she escaped, he believed she would succumb to her injuries. Apparently, the opposite is true and she will now be returning.

With Season 4 set to continue on November 6th with Rise of the Super Shredder, the cast provided us with a short table read of his arrival followed up by a sneak peak of the next episode. Shredder is now recovered and returns to kidnap Karai. He forces her to try and do his bidding under threats that he'll harm Shinigami. The clip ends with him flipping the Turtle van demanding they bring Splnter to "Where I last defeated him". Voice actor Kevin Michael Richardson gave us a quick preview of the new voice, which is a big "gruffier" than the standard Shredder.
