'Doctor Who' actor, Matt Smith, says he's willing and ready to be a part fo the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has done nothing but grow since it started with 'Iron Man' in 2008. Among the many actors who have gone from one geek-centric medium to another are the actors from 'Doctor Who'. The first to join the fray was the ninth Doctor, Christopher Eccleston, who played the dark elf, Malekith, in 'Thor: The Dark World', then the tenth Doctor, David Tennant, who gave a startlingly creepy performance for Netflix's Jessica Jones.
At the recent New York Comic Con, the eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith, has expressed interest in following in his predecessors footsteps. Smith was asked if he'd be willing to be in a Marvel project, he replied with:
“The answer is…when will they ask me?”
The subtle revelation left fans scrambling to figure out which upcoming project he'd be the perfect fit for. While this was just an indication at his interest, the speculation game has been going strong. With all the upcoming Netflix series already filming, its more than likely he might wind up in a movie, if even with a smaller role. Inhumans? Avengers 4? Captain Marvel? It all still remains to be seen, but only "time" will tell.
