Objection! Phoenix Wright Trilogy for iOS slips to summer release

The first three Phoenix Wright games are headed to iOS, but not for another few months. Again.

We've heard the story before: Capcom originally scheduled the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD release for autumn 2012, but that later changed to an "early 2013" window. Then it was set for April. Now it's not coming until July, according to Pocket Gamer.

"For reasons unknown to me, the release has slid another several months to July. Sorry guys," wrote Capcom senior vice president Christian Svensson on the publisher's forums.

The iOS game will contain the original DS titles Ace Attorney, Justice for All, and Trials and Tribulations — all available as individual purchases within the free app and all under the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney main label. The trilogy initially released as Game Boy Advance titles in Japan before arriving overseas in North America and other regions.

The app includes an "Everyone Object" mode that enables gamers to email or tweet animated GIFs of the characters shouting different phrases, like "Object!".

The case files from the first game are available on the App Store already, but they're from the GBA version. The download costs $5.
