October 2015’s Games with Gold announced for Xbox One and Xbox 360

Microsoft has announced next month's batch of free Games with Gold for Xbox LIVE Gold members. While we've still got a few days left with September's free games, next month has some very promising games on the schedule.

For October 2015, Xbox LIVE Gold members will receive Valiant Hearts: The Great War and The Walking Dead for free on Xbox One. Valiant Hearts, Ubisoft's emotionally-charged puzzle-adventure set in World War I, will be available all month, from October 1st through October 31st. Telltale's The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season will be available from October 16th through November 15th. It'll be interesting to see if we get two more free games in November for Xbox One, or just one with The Walking Dead counting as the second.

In October, Xbox 360 owners will finally be able to get their hands on Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, as the last-gen version will be made available on October 1st through October 15th. Ground Zeroes, theĀ first of a two-part segment of the "Metal Gear Solid 5 Experience," was one of August's Xbox One Games with Gold, leading into the release of The Phantom Pain. Telltale's The Walking Dead will also be available for Xbox 360 owners in October from the 16th through the 31st. It'll make for a good Halloween game.
