Octodad: Dadliest Catch grabs late January release date

Octodad: Dadliest Catch, the sequel to 2011's freeware indie game Octodad, is headed to PC, Mac, and Linux on Jan. 30.

Developer Young Horses announced the release date and confirmed that Dadliest Catch, which stars an octopus undercover as a normal human family man, will be available at launch on Steam, the Humble Store, and GOG.

"It’s been a long time coming, and we’re super excited that the game is finally going to be in players hands at the end of this month," the developer wrote in a blog post.

Dadliest Catch was 122 percent funded on crowdfunding site Kickstarter back in August 2011. The campaign pulled in over $24,000.

The title is also expected to release on PlayStation 4 this year.
