The wait for Octodad: Dadliest Catch on PS4 is almost over as developer Young Horses announced today that it'll be released for Sony's next-gen system on Tuesday, April 22.
"We started Octodad as a ragtag group of students, and it’s been a long and crazy ride getting our silly game on the PS4. This is our first foray into consoles, and we’re proud to be here," said Ken Zuhn, the game's creative director. "We released Octodad on PC back in January, and since then we’ve taken the time to improve it based on feedback from our players."
The most radical changes are in the latter third of the game, says Zuhn. Additional challenges like deck swabbing, jig dancing, and new disguises to wear have been added to the game. The PS4 version also has support for new controller configurations like PlayStation Move, double PlayStation Moves, and PlayStation Move plus Nav controller. Octodad: Dadliest catch also supports local co-op mode, where you and your friends each can control one of Octodad's limbs.
Octodad: Dadliest Catch will be priced at $14.99, but is getting a 20% discount at launch for PS Plus users during the first week. This means, if you are a PS Plus subscriber, you can snag it for just $11.99 through April 29.
