Official Battlefield 4 Battlelog trailer released, ‘stay connected’ with your mobile device

DICE and EA have released the official trailer for the new and improved Battlelog for Battlefield 4, highlighting the social platform's new features. The vision this time around is to help the player "stay connected" to Battlefield — whether it be through PC, console, tablet, or other mobile device.

"No matter where players go, Battlefield is always at their fingertips," the developer said. "Whether they’re heading home on the bus, taking a lunch break at work or lounging on the couch, players can log into Battlelog and check out their stats, interact with friends and much more from their smartphone, tablet, browser or directly through their console."

Battlelog will now offer a second-screen experience through your mobile device. The Battlescreen will allow you to use your secondary screen as a mini-map, letting you highlight attack points and easily keep track of squad members. Every move made in Battlelog reflects directly back into the game in real-time, and vice versa.

Your secondary screen will also let you switch weapons, change load outs, and check your progression at any time, with real-time results. Additionally, you can cut down on the wait time between matches by selecting servers or even launching a match from your device.

Other notable features include geo leaderboards, geo-localized leaderboards that allow you to compete with people directly in the same city, region, country, or continent as you (in addition to everyone in the Battlefield community), and  the already talked about Missions, specific challenges you can set up with your friends.
