Bethesda finally has released the first official trailer for the port of the Nintendo 64 DOOM 64. Like they announced previously, the retro port will launch the same day as the proper DOOM Eternal next year, March 20th for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Google Stadia. Nintendo Switch owners will get it at a later time when together with Eternal. Watch the trailer below!
Shooter fans shed manly tears earlier this month when Bethesda shared the difficult decision to delay the highly anticipated DOOM Eternal into early 2020. There was a silver lining however as gamers not only can look forward to Eternal but also a modern port of the excellent DOOM 64. The Nintendo 64 exclusive remained as a true hidden gem, forever to be forgotten on Nintendo’s legendary 3D system. Unlike most other DOOM ports, DOOM 64 truly stands out with unique visuals and level design, making it a must-play for FPS fans.
Returning after 22 years, the cult classic DOOM 64 is coming to modern platforms. Available 03.20.2020 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. Fight through demonic hordes, hunt down the Mother of Demons, and stop Hell’s invasion as you battle through more than 30 action-packed levels. Be on the lookout for classic weapons and secrets to help you put an end to the demonic threat.
It’s great to finally see the cult shooter get ported to a wide range of systems, but there’s more good news for users who pre-order DOOM Eternal. Bethesda will be gifting DOOM 64 for every pre-order and thus make the wait for Eternal that more delicious.
