Official Modkit for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has released

CD Projekt Red has released the official Modkit for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt! That's right folks, it's time to stretch out those fingers and release them across your keyboard and make magic some happen. The Modkit will allow players to mod "several aspects of the game to their own liking.”

The kit won't be for everyone, as it was created for those who are more experienced with modding software, with the intention of making mod creation easier.

“The modding tools we are releasing are not an editor,” said CD Projekt Red to Gamespot. "They’re meant for people who are somewhat experienced with modding software and are designed to make creating mods easier. They give access to game files and allow for easy extracting, compilation, and decompilation of resources. Beside visual changes, like modifying textures and models, they will allow to change UI assets and script files. The majority of gameplay-related mechanics are written in scripts.”

The ModKit can be downloaded directly from the Nexus Mods servers – no need for logging in or anything, simply click 'download the modding tools' and bam, you're in business! If you have used Nexus Mods before make sure you are using the most recent version of the Nexus Mod Manager, if you're new to Nexus Mods you'll need to grab it.
