Official: Pokémon X/Y free when you register a 3DS and one select game

Following last week's rumor, Nintendo has confirmed that people who register a Nintendo 3DS (or 3DS XL or 2DS) as well as one of six select games via Club Nintendo, will receive a free code to download either Pokémon X or Pokémon Y.

The six eligible games are Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins and the upcoming Yoshi's New Island (releasing on March 14).

The system and game must be registered between March 1 and March 31 in order to be eligible for the promotion. Download codes for Pokémon X or Pokémon Y must be redeemed by May 31, 2014.
