As Destiny 2 gobbles up many a gamer's hours, it was inevitable that someone somewhere would stumble upon an Easter Egg or two. Apparently, that happened to one PS4 Player who upon starting up the Sony-exclusive Lake of Shadows Raid, was met with a rather offbeat intro dialogue from Zavala who referred to the mission as "Operation: Baby Dog" and ends with voice actor Lance Reddick cracking up at the end.
Here it is:

The intro was backed up on Twitter by Bungie senior writer Mallory Schleif, who said that she was surprised that the intro wasn't cut and that it "broke" the "consummate pro" Lance Reddick during recording.
HAHA
the odds of triggering this intro are so low… and i am still astounded that it wasn't cut. bless your merciful hand, @thislukesmith https://t.co/0GHra1P6iN

ALSO, fun fact, @lancereddick is a consummate pro in the booth; he studies his scripts; he comes in ready to BE ZAVALA… and this broke him https://t.co/CerO9QB7Qk

It's just one of those things you know was a ton of fun to bear witness to in the recording studio, particularly with a guy as serious as Lance Reddick.
In other Destiny 2 news, the Leviathan Raid recently went live and was cleared first by the clan known as 'The Legend Himself' in about six hours. Bungie recorded the moment in the studio when it happened, and suffice it to say; they were very proud.
Destiny 2 is available now on PS4 and Xbox One and will launch on PC on October 24th, 2017.
