“One way or another” The Walking Dead will get a movie, says showrunner

While The Walking Dead fans reel from the Season 7 kickoff, the showrunner behind the series has been musing over the fact that there's only so much time before the comic series turned TV series makes the jump into a film.

Showrunner Scott Gimple told Comicbook.com that one day the series would become a film and it'd probably be a 'cool' one.

“That question comes up every now and again,” Gimple said. “I’m sure one way or another, one day, it’ll happen. I think it would be cool.”

Gimple even went on to poke fun at who could star in the film (if it were to happen):

“William Shatner as Rick. We’ll get Edward James Olmos as Daryl. Hit all the big shows!” Gimple joked. “Matthew Fox as the Governor!”

The question is, who could really take Andrew Lincoln's role as Rick?
