If Games for Windows Live had been the bane of your Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition career don't worry, you don't have to keep on dealing with it. The switch from Windows Live to Steam is still available, there's no reason to lose all of your hard work in the haste to move away from Windows Live.
The transfer of saved data from Windows Live to Steam will be available until February 16th, it will also bring your achievements with the saved data.
This switch has been available since the 15th of December, they've given you ample time — if you miss out it's not their fault!
Here's how to get it done:
If you purchased the game prior to December 15th 2014:
If you own a phiscal copy (Disc) or bought it through Games for Windows Live Marketplace (Digital):
If you purchased it through Game for Windows live version from Steam:
If you purchase Dark Souls Prepare To Die Edition between December 15th and February 16th:
