PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners can look forward to July 24th when WWI-themed multiplayer shooter Tannenberg makes its way onto consoles after achieving large success on PC. You can check out the game in action in the console announcement trailer below!
The PC scene is regularly the place to check out fresh and unique gaming experiences. And probably none other than online first-person shooters have long used the PC platform as a starting point to make it big.
Blackmill Games and M2H have carved themselves a comfortable niche in exactly that space by focusing on the visceral and brutal combat of World War I. Their 2015 classic Verdun first shined a light on the Western Front of WWI action and instantly became a success.
It’s all-out war on the Eastern Front! From artillery barrages and poison gas to the deadly heavy machine gun and hard-hitting rifle, there are many weapons to master. The battlefield is a dangerous place, and a little thought will help you stay alive – lead your shots, keep your eyes open, and be ready to engage in ferocious close combat at any moment.
We recreate the atmosphere of the Eastern Front with the same level of accuracy as in Verdun. Uniforms are correct to the tiniest detail, the weapons are modeled to exact references and our maps use realistic props and terrain layouts based on locations from the hilly forests of Galicia and the blasted trenches atop Mount Cosna to a Polish village subjected to scorched earth tactics.
With last year’s Tannenberg, the series took a look at the equally brutal Eastern Front where the Russian Empire, Germany, and their respective allies have duked it out. With a focus on authentic uniforms, weapons, and environments, console players can look forward to massive 64 online battles later this month.
The best part, the game will be priced at a very nice budget price of just $19.99. Xbox One owners can already pre-purchase the game via the Microsoft Store at an added 10% discount right now!
