Original Katamari Damacy returns as a PS2 Classic in Japan

The game where you roll up junk, people, and whole buildings to create colossal katamari balls is coming to PlayStation 3.

Katamari Damacy, which debuted in 2004, is landing on the PlayStation Network as a PS2 Classic in Japan — which may mean the U.S. will get a rerelease as well … maybe. Japan's list of PS2 Classics is different from ours in North America (we have 34 in the Store right now).

The puzzle-action game is releasing on PS3 on November 21 and will cost 1,200 yen ($15).

Do you wish the game would hit PS3 in the West as well?
