Square Enix is porting the first Ogre Battle strategy role-playing game to Wii U Virtual Console on Nov. 20. Currently, the release is exclusive to Japan, but we could see it drop in North America in the near future.
Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen is first in the line of real-time strategy RPGs. It debuted in North America on the Super Nintendo in 1995, two years after it launched in Japan, and most recently the Wii Virtual Console in 2009.
March of the Black Queen inspired the sequel Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, which Square Enix enhanced for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) in 2011 and is often considered one of the best titles on the platform.
