Original Tomb Raider comes to iOS devices

iOS owners will soon be able to play the original Tomb Raider on their mobile devices as Touch Arcade reports that the mobile version of the PlayStation classic is now available on the New Zealand App Store, and expected to make its way to the North American store by 11:00pm EST tonight.

Tomb Raider first launched on PlayStation in 1996 and went on to spawn an entire franchise of games following Lara Croft's adventures. The iOS game includes two extra chapters that were included in the game's 1998 re-release, bringing the total gameplay time to around 15 hours — for just $0.99.

Despite already being available for purchase, Square Enix has yet to formally announced its release.
