If you recall, back in December Microsoft and 343 Industries announced that anyone who had played The Master Chief Collection before December 19th would get the full campaign of Halo 3: ODST for free as an apology for the issues that affected The Master Chief Collection's multiplayer.
With the game's most recent patch having "normalized and improvement matchmaking and the in-game experience for the majority of fans," 343 Industries has decided to show off Halo 3: ODST for Xbox One, remastered in 1080p and 60 frames per second (though you can't really see the frame rate in a screenshot).
Halo 3: ODST was a spinoff developed by Bungie and released in 2009 to fill the gap between Halo 3 and Halo: Reach. The game acts as a prologue to Halo 3 and fills in the details of what happened in southeastern Kenya from Halo 2 to Halo 3. The game is set in New Mombasa and sees you take the role of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers during the Covenant invasion of Earth.
Although it can be presumed that Halo 3: ODST will have a standalone release separate from those who purchased The Master Chief Collection, Microsoft hasn't announced anything yet.
