Our first look at Mad Max gameplay

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Avalanche Studios have released a new trailer for Mad Max, providing a fairly detailed look at the gameplay that awaits us in the Wasteland.

Today's trailer offers an extended look at the car customization, vehicular and melee combat, and other activities you'll encounter when trying to survive the harsh and desolate Wasteland. It all starts with with the upgradeable Magnum Opus, which you can build and customize the way you want. Additionally, armor and weapons can be equipped, along with abilities you can learn, to help you survive melee combat. Of course, these are just the basics of Mad Max — the trailer reveals much more.

Warner Bros. notes that all footage in the trailer is in-engine, comprised of actual gameplay and in-game cinematics. They didn't say which platform in particular it was captured on, but I'm going to guess PC seeing as how I didn't see any PlayStation or Xbox branding.

Mad max is set to release on September 1, 2015 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
