Filming on the new Ghostubsters movie began earlier this month and save for a few paparazzi photos from the set, we really haven't seen anything official from the upcoming reboot. That changed this week as director Paul Feig has tweeted out photos of the new costumes and proton packs the group of ladies will be wearing.
And ya know what? I totally dig it. Feig won't be playing up the fact that the new Ghostbusters will be entirely female by putting them in Ghostbusting-skirts. These outfits are straight-up utilitarian, which is exactly how they should be. As a nice touch, they even feature the classic logo as a patch on the shoulder.

Feig also tweeted a photo of the new proton pack and it looks completely unstable and unpredictable. I wonder if it's safe to cross the streams.

I'll admit, I've been skeptical about a Ghostbusters reboot, but not because it's an all female group. Mostly because I didn't think they'd be able to do the originals justice. If the style of comedy can be as true to the originals as the costumes appear, than I think we'll be pleasantly surprised. I still have worries about McCarthy's overacting, but I think Feig is starting to show that he's more interested in doing Ghostbusters fanboys proud.
