Outlast, the game that's spooking players in daylight (who says there's no good survival-horror anymore?), is scheduled to release on September 4 for PC, Red Barrels announced today.
The title will launch on Steam and cost $20. Outlast, which developer Red Barrels has described as a mix of stealth and chase, takes players inside Mount Massive Asylum as reporter Miles Upshur, who's investigating a tip that something has gone wrong. There, a gruesome crime scene tells of a bigger story.
Red Barrels is a Montreal-based, 10-man independent studio comprised of industry veterans who have worked on big series like Prince of Persia, Assassin’s Creed, Splinter Cell, and Uncharted. Outlast is their first title together as Red Barrels.
