Konami has finally patched the PlayStation 3 version of Zone of the Enders HD Collection after problems hindered the action game's release last year in October.
The bump from 30 to 60 FPS produced a choppiness that slowed down the game. Publisher Konami decided in May to improve performance with a patch, but it only announced a fix for the PS3 and not the Xbox 360 version.
Now the patch is live on PS3. The update consumes 594MB.
Issues with the title caused Konami to order development on a sequel to stop, unfortunately for fans of game designer Hideo Kojima, who's also known for his Metal Gear Solid series.
Konami has established a bad track record when it comes to delivering patches. It took the company months to fix the highly troubled Silent Hill HD Collection, and again, it ignored the Xbox 360 version. It released a patch for both console versions of Silent Hill: Downpour, but it took Konami awhile after launch to respond with that solution.
