Overwatch: Blizzard has extended the ‘Uprising’ event after an early shutdown

As a result of an early shutdown of Overwatch's Uprising event, it will now be extended an extra day.

The recent 'Overwatch' event, 'Uprising', has found great success. For the last three weeks, players have been enjoying the new King's Row horde-style mini game, along with the newest library of skins, highlight intros, and digital goodies to sink their teeth into. As much fun as these events always are, eventually they must come to an end…sometimes, sooner than expected.

Blizzard recently admitted to pulling the event sooner than they promised they would on Monday, May 1st. As a result, they've recently issued a statement apologizing for the slip up and have agreed to keep the event running for an extra day:

The 'Uprising' event will now end May 2 at 5pm with all the loot boxes and event maps re-enabled. If you missed out on one of those hard to get skins, now's your chance to try again!
