Overwatch is going to have a free-to-play weekend later this month

After BlizzCon 2016, Overwatch is currently experiencing a small resurgence in popularity (not that people weren't playing), and to capitalize on this, Blizzard is going to let everyone check out its newest IP completely free later this month. In a new post on the game's official website, Blizzard announced that on the weekend before Thanksgiving, from November 18-21, gamers on every platform (PC, Xbox One, PS4) will be able to try the game without restrictions.

Everyone who tries the game will have access to all 22 heroes (which does not include the recently announced Sombra) and 13 maps across a variety of different game modes including Quick Play, Custom Games, and the latest Weekly Brawl. You will also be able to level up and earn loot boxes, and anything you unlock can be carried over to the full version of the game, should you decide to buy it. 

It's worth noting that you will need to have a PlayStation Plus Subscription, an Xbox Live Gold Membership, or a Battle.net account if you plan to test drive Overwatch. It is a multiplayer game, after all, so you still have to go through the proper avenues to play the game.
