The latest 'Overwatch' patch fixes a big exploit found during the King's Row mini game in the Uprising event.
The most recent 'Overwatch' event, 'Uprising', has been pretty popular since it debuted last week. Despite the ocassional bug, its resonating well with players, not just because of the newest King's Row mini game, but also the latest batch of skins and the goodies centered on the hey-day of the Overwatch organization.
A few players, however, found a minor flaw in the mini-game that changes the conditions of the map. At one point, your team is required to escort the payload from one end of the map to the other, just like in regular play. In this version, however, you're not being attacked by a rival team, but rather a seemingly endless horde of Omnic foot soldiers trying to destroy the payload. At this point, you would have already delt with wave after wave of robots, but if a player (someone with a travel passive like D.Va or Tracer) were to get to the destination before the payload gets too far, aboslutely ZERO Omnics spawn. As long as that player stayed on the target point, it'd be smooth sailing for the team the whole way around.
While this doesn't necessarily guarantee a victory, it still makes the map much easier to get through considering one of the four major objectives is no longer a challenge. As of today, the patch fixes this bug, meaning you need to get through the whole mini-game guns blazing. Blizzard hasn't issued any statement on players being penalized had they used the exploit, but its likely no longer a concern now that its been fixed.
