An update to Overwatch's Public Test Realm (PTR) has left trolls uncontrollably telling everyone that it's past their bedtime and that they suck their thumbs. Blizzard has taken the expression "GG Ez" and fixed it to say something else entirely.
Why? GG Ez is known from a number of online communities as a way of gloating and upsetting a team that just suffered a loss. Essentially, GG Ez translates to "Good Game Easy" which is a way of putting down a team, saying that they weren't that good and your team was far superior.
Blizzard has fixed this issue.
When players type GG Ez into chat on the PTR, the expression will show as:
- "It was an honor to play with you all. Thank you."
- "I'm wrestling with some insecurity issues in my life but thank you all for playing with me."
- "I feel very, very small… please hold me."
- "Mommy says people my age shouldn't suck their thumbs."
- "It's past my bedtime. Please don't tell my mommy."
- "C'mon, Mom! One more game before you tuck me in. Oops mistell."
There might be more expressions attached to GG Ez, but those weren't revealed at the time.
