Overwatch will be free on PS4 and Xbox One for one weekend

Blizzard is holding a free weekend for Overwatch this month! The free weekend will make every map and every hero available to play in a variety of modes,  including Quick Play, Custom Games, and the latest Weekly Brawl. During the free weekend, any progress that players make (like leveling up and earning Loot Boxes) will be applied to the game if they decide to purchase the game.

It should be noted that Competitive Play will not be available during the free weekend and Trophies will be disabled.

Luckily, PS4 owners won't need a PS Plus subscription to get in one action! Unfortunately, Xbox One owners will need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to play.

The free weekend will begin on Friday, September 9 at 11:00am PDT and conclude on Monday, September 12 at 4:00 p.m. PDT.
