Pacific Rim 2 filming delayed until some vague point next year

Some guy on Tumblr once said that the universe is a cold, cruel and unfeeling void that is absent of reason, truth or sympathy. That fact has never been more evident than with the news that filming for Pacific Rim 2 has been delayed until sometime next year.

Guillermo del Toro will be returning to direct with Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day and Burn Gorman will all be reprising their roles in a script by X-Men: Last Stand’s Zak Penn. Eventually.

The film is still currently slated for an August 4, 2017 release, but with this new push back on principle filming that might not stand.

There’s a joke in there about the darkest timeline, but I think that already happened back when Anna Paquin was cast as Rogue.
