Pacific Rim 2 lands Spartacus star Nick Tarabay

After making Star Wars' John Boyega the lead, Pacific Rim 2, now known as Pacific Rim: Maelstrom has brought on another relatively well-known face in Nick Tarabay. Tarabay is mostly known for his role as the Gladiator-turned-shadow broker, Ashur on Spartacus and as Digger Harkness in the CW's Arrow.

Just a few days ago, John Boyega leaked the "Maelstrom" title to the world via his Instagram, which totally sounds way better than only "Pacific Rim 2." The film has had its share of troubles trying to get off the ground, as the legendary Guillermo Del Toro (who directed the first movie) frequently fought off rumors of the film's cancellation before leaving the Director's chair fueling, even more, speculation.

It is currently unknown what role Tarabay will play in the film, but we hope it's something shady.
