Paramo adds a dynamic new volcanic level to PUBG in Season 9

Battle Royale sensation PUBG is still going strong even after three years. Not the least thanks to droves of content updates and new seasons. The next chapter is already looming over the horizon with Season 9 and Paramo.

The titular new level will no doubt become the place to be and survive in the coming weeks. Not only is it just a new place but it also introduces a massive dynamic component to the experience.

Paramo’s highlight is an overshadowing active volcano, and it’s not just for show either. During a match, the volcano can literally go off and change the entire map. That part goes well beyond visual changes, as well.

While the charred landscape does indeed offer enough variety on its own already, it’s the actual dynamic changes that make Paramo so interesting. When the volcano erupts, it not only rains ash from the sky, and the green landscape turns into a burnt mess. Furthermore, dynamic lava streams change the flow of the map each time.

Apart from the new level, Season 9 also expands on the lore of Paramo. Seeing how the area is inspired by historical South American sites, there should be plenty of fascinating stuff to learn. You can get a glimpse of the lore portion of Paramo in this moody teaser trailer.

Of course, a new Season Pass is also coming. But since Paramo offers so much content, PUBG players can look forward to two Season Passes that focus on various aspects. While a lot is still shrouded in mystery, you won’t have to wait much longer since Season 9 will drop October 21st on PC and October 29th on consoles.
