PaRappa the Rapper is a title that has been long dormant on the early days of the PlatStation 2 since 2002. Definitely a cult classic, PaRappa the Rapper is a game remembered fondly by many. But this title may be dusted off soon, as the Korean Game Rating Board has rated "PaRappa the Rapper" being published by Sony Interactive Entertainment Korea.
No platform or timetable has been specified, but considering all we've seen of the franchise since 2002 is ports to PSP and PS4 via the PS2-on-PS4 program, it would be a welcome return. Many music-based games have PaRappa to thank for their foundation. The PaRappa games, in their day, were obscure and thought to be "weird but fun". Well, that's not a wrong assessment, but their limited success and being followed by the bigger juggernaut that is Guitar Hero, it was often remembered as that game we loved but forgot about.
Will this give PaRappa the Rapper the second chance he deserves?
