Path of Exile gets huge patch and launches on Steam

The action role-playing game Path of Exile has officially launched, and it's on Steam today. It's free to play.

Path of Exile is only available for PC players, so Mac owners will have to sit this one out.

Today's big, prelaunch patch introduces a guild system, a new character class, six additional world areas, and more.

The game has been in open beta since January and climbed to 2 million players in March, as we mentioned earlier this month. It's a good substitute for Diablo or Torchlight if you're sick of those.
