Paul Sage leaves The Elder Scrolls Online to join Gearbox

It has been announced today that Paul Sage, creative director of The Elder Scrolls project, is set to leave, with his arrival at Gearbox Software imminent. This news comes just a few weeks after Sage contributed to the launch of The Elder Scrolls Online on Xbox One and PS4.

Since the long-awaited console launch there has been several issues for the game, resulting in a fairly large 15GB patch.

Sage will serve as creative director at Gearbox, with reports confirming that he will be developing a new game. Speculation has suggested that Sage's new project could well be Borderlands 3; however, this is still yet to be confirmed.
