PAX West is coming up next weekend, and there are a lot of developers planning on making appearances even in the wake of Gamescom 2016. CR Projekt RED is one such developer, and they will be talking extensively about their upcoming free-to-play card game, Gwent in a panel entitled GWENT: Going Standalone. The panel is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 3 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. PST and will be in the Hydra Theatre of the Washington State Convention Center.
The panel will feature the game's Principal Narrative Designer Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, Associate Art Director Katarzyna Redesiuk, Community Manager Kristine Steimer, and will be hosted by SourceFed's Maude Garrett. If you won't be able to make it to PAX West 2016, you can still watch the panel via Twitch.
Gwent was officially announced at E3 2016 and is a standalone card game, based on the in-game card game of the same name found in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The game was available to play to the public most recently at Gamescom 2016, and after being delayed, the Gwent Closed Beta will begin on October 25th, 2016. If you're interested in taking part in the Gwent Beta, you can head over to the game's official website here.
