Overkill has announced today that co-op crime shooter Payday 2 will release for PC via Steam on August 13.
"We have now made sure that everything is in order and that our contracts are in place. The weapon shipments have been ordered and are on their way to D.C. while Bain continues to work on attracting new contacts to Crime.net," the studio said.
While the PC release has been confirmed, we are still waiting to hear about the game's release on other platforms. Overkill has said it should be out on Xbox 360 and PS3 between August 13 and August 16.
"A big thank you to our PAYDAY community, to everyone who has helped us beta test the game so far and posted messages online, sent us feedback and told us how much you appreciate our work. We salute you."
Those who can't wait for the game's release next week, check out our most recent hands-on with the game in which we plan (and then completely botch) a robbery in Payday 2.
